I’m so sorry to keep all of you waiting! Two Monday’s ago I took a bus a half hour south of Vienna to the Laxenburg Schloss. Enjoy a picture or two. There was also a church Next up are some pictures from the national library that I visited on Tuesday. With my class afterwards we visited some churches and worked on describing them in German. I would include pictures but if you’ve seen one it’s kind of like you’ve seen them all. Not actually but kind of.  Friday was  a very eventful day. For my class we went to the art history museum and it was beautiful. I’m more about performing arts but I was very intrigued by the exhibits they had. They had Egyptian, Greek, and Roman artifacts, renaissance paintings, and plenty more, which I didn’t have time to see. I think this was the most beautiful building out of every one I’ve been in. That night was Lange Nacht der Kirchen or long night of the churches.  We attended organ concerts and choirs at

It’s that time of the week again! First and most importantly, I bought the best hat at my new favorite store called Flying Tiger Copenhagen (I should get paid for advertising). To start off this week, I was with my girls Virginia and Nicole and we had an afternoon at the Stadtpark. I had my summer playlist going and we bought some bubbles.  Afterwards we ran into Derek at a Billa (grocery store) and planned to do a picnic at Schönbrunn, which is the summer palace of the Habsburg. Our group actually spent Saturday there too and took a tour. Honestly the whole property is probably as big if not bigger than downtown Salt Lake City. Here is a picture of the front. Everything is so big here that it’s hard to take a good picture and capture the entire thing. We hiked up a hill in the back to have our picnic by the Glorette, which is... And our view We definitely plan to come back here plenty of more times. We rolled down the hill a couple times,

My loyal readers, Vienna is absolutely amazing. That’s it. That’s the whole post. No I’ll give more details but wow I never want to leave. I may be pretty back and forth and disorganized because there’s a lot to cover but I hope I can adequately articulate my experiences. To start off, here is a picture of the opera house, which is in the center of town and is across the street from where I have my classes. So for those who I haven’t explained this program to, I am taking a business German class, a culture/history/art class of Vienna, and then I’m doing an internship, where I’m working in an elementary school.  There are two other students in my program that are at the same school as me and it’s been such a highlight of the trip so far.  I’m working with two first grade classrooms and I go back and forth between the two.  In one classroom mostly just play English games with the students. In the other room I have played English games, I have worked in small groups with students t

Ya boy is now in Vienna! Today I had to say goodbye to the Ehrlich’s. It was sad to say goodbye to Carina because it had been about two years since we had seen each other and we only had a couple of days to hang out.  It was great to have finally met her family too because I missed them when they visited Utah. They were so nice to have let me stay with them and show me around their hometown.  They all had great personalities and were fun to joke around with  Hopefully it won’t be long before I see them again. Carina, her dad Josef, her sister Nadja, and me. Unfortunately I don’t have a picture with her mom. Yesterday we got a tour of die Residenz in Würzburg, where the Prince Bishop would invite his guests such as Maria Theresa from Vienna.  It has some of the largest ceiling murals in the world and is about 8 meters longer than Versailles in length (suck it).  All of the art speaks to the power and civilization of Europe over Asia, Africa, and the new world, but more spec
